His Majesty attended a Meeting with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
During the Meeting, His Majesty congratulated His Highness Sheikh Sabah on his appointment as the Crown Prince of Kuwait in 2024. His Majesty expresses pleasure that Brunei and Kuwait are celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025 and that over the years, both sides have continued to enjoy good cooperation in education, defence and people-to-people exchanges.
His Majesty in a titah states that amidst the geopolitical and geo-economics uncertainties, Brunei is keen to deepen trade linkages by expanding the market access into Kuwait and progressing further into the region.
His Majesty and His Highness also discussed matters of mutual importance such as investment cooperation to support Brunei's diversification efforts, and to strengthen existing cooperation in people-to-people exchanges as well as education to instil greater friendship and understanding between the people of both countries.
